Crowwe is more of a social networking application that is also rich with features that allow you to do various business transactions. It's like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are unified in one platform as it enables you to post and share pictures, video content, and stories wherein you can like and place a comment as well.
In addition, it offers a mobile wallet function that you can recharge to send money or pay for your bills and orders. This is a completely free social media utility that can be enjoyed on any of your compatible mobile devices.
Surrounded by issues and errors
Provided by IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited, a company founded by Adamu Garba II—a politician well-known for being a Nigerian government loyalist, many locals believed that this social media tool is made to exploit user information and promote censorship. Its app store ratings and reviews reflect how most Nigerians feel about it. All the speculations aside, Crowwe is functioning poorly.
It is extremely far from the excellent service of its popular social networking competitors like Facebook and Twitter. You can't help but think that this is just some bogus parody as simple signing up is nearly impossible to do. The UI design is extremely bad as the icons seem like they were just picked at random and don’t even represent the pages they are on.
Loading multimedia is horrible here as well. Most of the time it doesn't load correctly and when it does, the photo or videos look terribly compressed that you will find it difficult to be recognized. It also lacks end-to-end encryption for chat messages even the special 'Secret Chat' feature that claims to be private conversations between you and the person you invited only felt unsafe for many previous users.
Use at your own risks
With an overwhelming amount of complaints, Crowwe is evidently not a reliable social app. If the developer's conscience is clear, they should improve its security which could prevent anyone including them from taking advantage of the personal information that users voluntarily provide. You are highly discouraged not to download this app. If you'll try it out of curiosity, just be aware of the risks.
